Meet Brixton

Brixton is a handsome, hilarious and "misunderstood" deaf pittie mix that came into my life when he was just 9 months old. What I was not prepared for was for my newly adopted puppy to be fearful, reactive, and have severe separation anxiety. Instead of labeling him as a problem, I saw a puppy with a set of needs and a communication style that most trainers hadn't taken the time to understand. With patience, consistency, and a behavior focused  approach, Brixton slowly revealed himself to be the most loyal and loving dogs imaginable. His transformation is the reason Brixton Animal Collective exists. He taught me that the animals labeled "difficult" or "unadoptable" are often the ones who need — and deserve — the most thoughtful care.
